The latest entry to the Torchlight game franchise

Torchlight: Infinite is a free role-playing game developed by XD Networkd Inc. for mobile devices. It is the latest entry in the long-running Torchlight game franchise. This action RPG's story is set 200 years after the events of Torchlight II and shows the effects that Ember Technology is having on the world.

Taking cues from its predecessor, Torchlight II, Torchlight: Infinite features an action-packed and expansive adventure in which players pick from a variety of character classes, all with their unique skills and abilities. The game is available for preregistration now via its official web page.

Come full circle

Torchlight is an action RPG game franchise that first appeared back in 2009. The series has made a name for itself all on its own, with its now-signature cel-shaded game and character designs, steampunk aesthetics, and fun and accessible gameplay. Out of its three mainline releases, Torchlight II remains the favorite among gamers; hence, Torchlight: Infinite will follow its story arc.

In this game, the world relies solely on Ember as its main power source for machinery and magic applications. However, hidden behind the seeming prosperity looms a dark corruption slowly spreading. You are part of an elite task force called Torchlight, and it is your duty to stop this threat before it's too late. You will get to choose from four character classes for the battle ahead.

In addition, there are a total of 24 skill trees, with over 230 skills and abilities spanning across them to help you create a playstyle of your own. However, players can have trouble navigating the various menus at first due to the confusing user interface. You can also run into difficulties scouring the large selection of items due to the same issue.

Dive into a dance of mechanisms and magic

Torchlight: Infinite’s Clockwork Ballet update introduces an array of exciting new content and gameplay enhancements in celebration of the game's one-year anniversary. This update immerses players in a season-exclusive experience filled with fresh challenges and opportunities.

Among the standout features is the new seasonal boss, Silverwing Danseuse, whose elegant and deadly nature will test the skills of hunters. Additionally, the update introduces the Zealot of War hero trait, new legendary gear and Pactspirits, and a reimagined Netherrealm Talent System, providing players with more customization and power.

The update also brings a complete overhaul to the game's crafting systems. This includes significant changes to legendary crafting and other crafting mechanisms, ensuring a more rewarding and engaging process for players. The Netherrealm experience has also been revamped, with the removal of Deep Space and improvements to mid and endgame content

These updates promise to make the journey through the Netherrealm more enjoyable and challenging, offering players a richer and more satisfying gameplay experience. Alongside these major content additions, the update introduces an enhanced user interface, ensuring a more optimized and user-friendly experience. Various game mechanisms have also been adjusted for smoother gameplay, while balance adjustments and general optimizations have been implemented to enhance game performance. With these extensive updates and improvements, this patch update sets the stage for an even more thrilling and immersive adventure.

Rising from the embers

The Torchlight series has had a tough time rediscovering the magic that made Torchlight II great, but it's getting another chance with Torchlight: Infinite. While it's too soon to tell, the trailer and early sneak peek of the gameplay point to good signs. However, players might find it challenging to navigate through the different menus initially because of the perplexing user interface.
